Tales of Trump and the Inaugural Cake

Donald Trump wants to be liked. He's like that kid from school who tries to make everyone like him but fails miserably every time. He is even willing to steal ideas from others to make himself look good.

During the Armed Services Ball, Trump and Pence cut into a massive cake. However, someone noticed something odd about the cake. Duff Goldman noticed that Trump's cake looked EXACTLY like the cake that he made for Barack Obama's Commander in Chief's Ball in 2013.

On January 21, the owner of Buttercream Bakeshop, Tiffany MacIsaac, to say that she had created the cake. She stated that she had been shown a photo of a cake and was asked to recreate it. MacIsaac posted a photo on Instagram of the cake.

Excited to share the cake we got to make for one of last night's inaugural balls. While we most love creating original designs, when we are asked to replicate someone else's work we are thrilled when it is a masterpiece like this one. @duff_goldman originally created this for Obama's inauguration 4 years ago and this years committee commissioned us to re-create it. Best part is all the profits are being donated to @humanrightscampaign, one of our favorite charities who we have loved working with over the years. Because basic human rights are something every man, woman and child~ straight, gay or the rainbow in between~ deserve! (Check out Tuesday's Instagram post to see how much we were able to donate!)

Goldman appeared to be a good sport about his cake being recreated. He posted on Twitter:

Tales of Trump and China: A Story about Hypocrisy.

Trump has spent YEARS tweeting/bitching about China. He has repeatedly cried about the United States/China relationship. He has stated that climate change is a hoax created by China. He has called them our enemy.

Military has announced that China has successfully hacked our advanced weapon designs. China is our enemy.Should we offset this on our debt?

He has complained about China "stealing" US jobs, yet he encouraged students at his fake ass university that outsourcing is actually a good thing. In fact, many of his items from his Donald J. Trump collection along with his glasses were made in China.

China is stealing our jobs. We need to demand China stop manipulating its currency and end its rampant corporate espionage.

This president is a joke and to add to the joke, he tweeted today that he has developed a friendship with China's president.

Press Secretary Spicer came out in defense of Trump and used his first press gathering to lie. He cited incorrect Metro numbers to try and claim that the crowd was larger. He gave excuses and he lied some more. I think this moment really set the tone for what we should expect. Pettiness, lies, and complaining. Grow up, Trump.

Trump started his presidency in the most Trump way possible, by lying and complaining. He thought his inauguration crowd was going to be YUGE, in fact, he said, "an unbelievable, perhaps record-setting turnout. " It wasn't. The New York Times estimated that only 160,000 people were there. A much smaller amount than the 1.8 million who showed up for Obama's first inauguration.

Tales of Trump and the Golf Course

Trump has spent a lot of time tweeting about the amount of time President Obama spent on the golf course, but I have a funny feeling that Trump is going to quickly surpass Obama. It has been reported that Obama played 333 rounds of golf or about 41 rounds a year. So far, Trump is up to 14 rounds in 10 weeks. If he keeps golfing at this rate, he will be closing in on Obama's 8 year total in only 4 years. Maybe, just maybe, Trump will set a new record for most rounds of golf played.
